Your Pre-Ultraceuticals Treatment Checklist

Gearing up for an Ultra Facial Treatment? Lucky you. To make sure your skin is prepped and primed for the best experience, here’s what you need to follow.

1. Hit Pause on Vitamin A Products.

Take a break from Vitamin A products 48 hours before your treatment. Why? Retinol can increase your skin’s sensitivity and may lead to irritation or discomfort during the treatment when combined with other potent actives. Instead, focus on hydrating your skin with nourishing products like our Ultra B² Hydrating Serum. This will help keep your skin calm and perfectly balanced.

2. Time Your Treatments Right.

Hold off on any injectable procedures for 14 days before your facial. If you’ve had Botox or fillers recently, let them settle in before you come in for your treatment. This way, you’ll avoid any potential complications and ensure that your facial can work its magic without interference. If you have any concerns, check in with your Ultra Skin Therapist for help!

3. Skip Lasers and Waxing.

Avoid facial lasers and waxing for 2 weeks before your appointment. These treatments can make your skin more sensitive. By giving your skin a break, you’ll help it stay calm and comfortable, making your facial experience much more enjoyable.

4. Check Your Skin’s Mood.

No treatments if your skin’s feeling irritated or sunburnt. Sunburnt or irritated skin needs time to heal and recover. Waiting until your skin has fully recovered ensures that it can better tolerate the facial and its components, leading to a more effective and comfortable treatment.
