Everything You Need To Know About Multi-Masking

Face masks can be a beneficial luxury in your skincare routine, but instead of using one single mask, why not reap the benefits of different formulas and multi-mask?

What’s multi-masking? It’s the technique of applying different masks to specific areas of your skin so that you can target your concerns across all areas of your face - at the same time.

Different areas of your skin may have different needs; your forehead might get oily by midday and your under-eyes might need a little extra hydration, while your chin may be breaking out due to hormonal changes.

Make sense? - great. Here’s how to multi-mask.

Pick your masks.

The first step is to choose the right mask for your skin concerns.

For oily and congested areas, detox and clarify with Ultra Clear Purifying Mask. This formula absorbs excess oil and dirt from the skin. For dry, flaky patches, apply Ultra Replenishing Mask for instant comfort and hydration. For dull areas, Ultra Energising Mask is the perfect pick-me-up to awaken the complexion (thanks to caffeine + other nourishing ingredients).

If you really want to take multi-masking to the next level, you can apply our iconic Ultra B² Hydrating Eye Masks while the rest of your masks work their magic.

Apply your masks.

On clean skin, apply your masks to the different areas you’re looking to address.

For example, apply Ultra Clear Purifying Mask to your nose, chin and forehead; Ultra Replenishing Mask to your cheeks and Ultra Energising Mask to your neck and declottage.

Use a generous, even layer of each. Let them sit for approximately 10-15 minutes, before rinsing with lukewarm water.

Round off your routine with your eye cream, corrective serums and moisturiser. If you’ve treated your skin to a mask during the day, ensure you apply your daily sunscreen, too.
