Offers high UVA, UVB protection

When used daily as directed, this anti-ageing must-have helps prevent premature skin ageing, including the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture and loss of firmness.

A free radical barrier

Reduces blue light transmission and acts as a free radical barrier to minimise the effects of pollution

An innovative formula

A light, sheer, non-greasy, easy blending fragrance free formula and 100% mineral based sunscreen that is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.

Antioxidant-enriched

Contains caffeine and carnosine, two powerful antioxidant ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

Backed by science for visible results.

Zinc Oxide (ZnO)

A Mineral UV Filter

ZnO absorbs the majority of this UV light and converts it to heat and scatters and reflects the remaining (about 10%) of these incoming UV rays.

Allantoin & Bisabolol

Help Condition the Skin

A blend of ingredients to help condition, support and comfort the skin.

Carnosine

A Powerful Antioxidant

This nature-identical dipeptide helps fight free radicals caused by the sun and pollution for more beautiful looking skin.

How to use

Shake well before use. Apply daily to face and neck. Apply generous amounts to clean, dry skin 20 minutes before sun exposure, and again after swimming, exercising or toweling. Reapply every 2 hours.
Warning: Avoid direct contact with eyes. Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. Over exposure is dangerous. Wear protective clothing, hat and eyewear at all times in the sun. Sunscreens do not provide 100% protection against UV rays. Reducing the amount and frequency used will reduce protection significantly. Only for external use on undamaged skin. Contains Methylpropanediol, Caprylyl Glycol and Phenylpropanol.

Why protect?

Even when it is cloudy outside or if you work indoors, you should be wearing sunscreen daily! It may sound extreme, but UVA rays account for up to 95% of the UV radiation reaching the earth’s surface & can penetrate clouds & glass. These UVA rays play a major part in photodamage & skin ageing. UVB rays are the chief cause of skin reddening & sunburn damage which can also lead to premature skin ageing. Both UVA & UVB rays have the potential to cause skin cancers.

For this reason, it is critical to choose a sunscreen that is ‘broad spectrum’. Broad Spectrum sunscreens are designed to protect against both UVB & UVA rays. A conventional sunscreen that has an SPF rating only & does not mention the term “Broad Spectrum” may block very little UVA radiation relative to the nominal SPF. The Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturiser range is the essential last step to your regimen.

Product FAQs

These are measured by the time it takes ultraviolet radiation to burn the skin with sunscreen compared to unprotected skin. For example, if skin protected with sunscreen takes 300 seconds to burn, and unprotected skin takes 10 seconds to burn, the sun protection factor is 30.

We recommend applying a generous amount - equivalent to one teaspoon, to cover your face, neck and ears 20 minutes before sun exposure. It should then be reapplied every two hours.

SPF, short for sun protection factor, is a standardised measure for the level of protection from UVB rays (the rays responsible for burning the skin). UVA rays account for up to 95% of the UV radiation reaching the earth’s surface; these rays play a major part in photodamage and skin ageing. UVB rays are responsible for burning of the skin which together with UVA rays, cause sun damage which can also lead to premature skin ageing.

Chemical (non-mineral) sunscreens are absorbed into the skin which then absorbs UV rays, converting the rays into non-damaging heat that then gets released from the body. They are generally thinner in consistency, and more suitable for daily use. Physical sunscreen, on the other hand, sits on top of the skin and deflects the sun’s rays to protect the skin. Both, however, are equally effective in offering protection from the damaging effects of the sun.

When using this product for the first time, it is important to prime the airless component by pumping the product slowly. This may initially take between 5-10 pumps to remove any excess air from the packaging. To maximise the use of this product, we recommend storing it cap down so that all leftover product can travel down. You can also squeeze any residual product from the bottom of the product down to the cap for best results.
