How does Ultra DNA³ Complex Recovery Night Cream replenish the skin overnight?
This night cream works with the skin's night-time renewal cycle; a time for our skin to rest, recover and repair itself from daily environmental stressors, UV radiation and makeup. This formula infuses the skin with water, tackles dehydration, nourishes the skin's lipid layer and helps the skin retain moisturiser, all while you sleep.
What happens to your skin while you're sleeping?
While you're sleeping, your skin gets a break from damaging UV exposure, environmental stressors, pollutants and make-up. Overnight your skin loses moisture due to less oil production at night. The skin may also become slightly warmer and contribute to dry skin. This is why we believe it is important to nourish your skin with products that support this night-time cycle.
Why moisturise?
Achieving optimal skin hydration is important for both healthy-looking skin and comfort. Dryness in the skin occurs when the skin is producing too little oil, as opposed to dehydration which occurs when there is excessive water loss from the skin. Both oily and dry skins can be dehydrated.
Ultraceuticals moisturisers are designed to tackle dehydration and work to nourish the skin's surface layers. It is important to choose a moisturiser that is suitable for your skin type. Thicker, creamier moisturisers (that contain more oils) are normally recommended for drier skin types, while oilier skin types might prefer lighter lotions (that contain fewer oils).
It is recommended to use a moisturiser twice daily, to help maintain skin health and general function of our Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF). If we don’t, the skin can become sensitive, flaky, dehydrated and damaged increasing the possibility of skin reactions and premature skin ageing.
What makes Ultraceuticals moisturisers different?
Ultraceuticals offers a range of advanced moisturisers of a variety of textures to suit all skin types. Our specially formulated products are designed to hydrate and nourish your skin, leaving you with a healthy, radiant glow.
What are the key traits of an Ultraceuticals moisturiser?
INFUSE: We infuse the skin with ingredients that will replace what occurs in the skin naturally - the NMF (Natural Moisturising Factor) which is using ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium PCA, Glycerine which will assist in maintaining hydration.
NOURISH: Then nourish the skin with ingredients such as ceramides, cholesterol, linoleic and linolenic acid to help replace the skin with lipids that occur naturally in the skin.
RETAIN: Along with these, we use ingredients that will help to retain, that is to lock and seal moisture and lipids into the skin, not occlusively just to still let the skin breathe but help to maintain hydration.
